This hinged bath screen is available in three standard toughened glass panel sizes:

  • 600mm x 1500mm
  • 700mm x 1500mm
  • 800mm x 1500mm

Glass Specification

This product is made using 8mm thick clear toughened safety glass with polished edges and a 10mm radius to the front exposed corners.

The glass bathroom screen comes with hinges in your choice of colour, plus a seal along the base and wall sides.

Material Specification

Our glass bath screens are manufactured on-site in Essex and delivered nationwide.

All metal components are brass, with a translucent PVC water seal to the base and side of the panel.

Each hinge self-centres perpendicular to the wall, opening 90 degrees in both directions with a hold-open facility.

    Can I install a glass bath screen?

    If you are in construction/maintenance or have fair DIY experience, it is possible to install your own hinged bath screen. 

    However, a properly fitting bath screen relies on an accurate wall channel and secure sealing. If you aren’t confident, enquire about installation partners we would recommend for bath screens or find a local expert in your area through sites like Checkatrade.

    What size are your glass bath screens?

    Our clear toughened glass bath screens are made from 8mm safety glass and are available in three sizes: 0.6m x 1.5m, 0.7m x 1.5m, or 0.8m x 1.5m.

    No matter which size your order, all of our screens come with: 

    • The exposed edges are all polished for a safe and attractive finish
    • 1cm radius to the front corners for added safety and aesthetic appeal
    • A base and wall seal to align one side and the bottom edge with the wall and the edge of your bath

    Be sure to measure your bath and shower area carefully before placing your order, ensuring that your measurements account for any tiles and trays. As the glass bath screen is hinged (unless a custom screen is requested), you need to make sure there’s adequate space for the panel to open properly.

    Where can you install glass bath screens?

    Our glass bath screens can fit into a range of bathrooms, suiting many types of baths and showers on the market, including bath-shower combos and freestanding or corner bathtubs.

    Moreover, since these toughened glass bath panels are 1.5m high, you could also install them as partial doors for shower enclosures or showers in the corners of wet rooms – though you may prefer our glass shower screens, as they have a greater selection of sizes and finishes.

    How to measure for your glass bath screen

    Before ordering, we strongly recommend carefully measuring (and double-checking) the following measurements:

    • Width – Measure the flat inner edge of the bath where the screen will sit. 

    Ensure the taps and that the curved radius of the bath won’t be blocked.

    • Height – Measure vertically from the top rim of the bath upwards. 

    If you need a panel shorter or longer than 1.5m, you’ll need a custom bath screen. 

    • Swing clearance – Measure the swing path so panels can move without striking room furniture like towel rails or toilets. 

    Make a note of these measurements and choose one of three standard panels that suits your bathroom best, or order a custom bath screen.

    I’ve used Express Toughening twice now and have been very impressed with the glass they have supplied and also the helpfulness of the staff. The first job was a couple of years ago when they supplied me with a 6mm satin frosted toughened glass door for our shower room. From my measurements they supplied a fabulous door which had the hinge and lock holes cut out and also took into account the out of square measurement of the door frame. It fitted a treat and is stunning to look at.

    More recently (late last year) they supplied me with painted toughened glass splash backs (7 items altogether in 6mm glass with the biggest being 2.1 metres long), all cut to my sizes and with numerous switch and socket cut-outs. My local glass supplier said they could not cut out the close together sockets and switches, but Express did and got it spot on!

    As with the glass door, the splash backs were delivered to me by Expresses’ own transport and without any problems and quality issues.

    After the scary bit of fitting them all the result is faultless and stunning. Thanks go to Alex who helped me with the ordering process and technical aspects of glass splash backs.

    4mm toughened glass for greenhouse. Although slightly dubious about ordering from a company I’ve never heard of and not local (300mile away) I’m so glad I took the plunge. A great customer service from Helen and the team from start to finish, clearly there was nothing for me to worry about.

    Their website is easy to use and made ordering online a doddle and for those shapes, they don’t have on their website a quick email and rough diagram sorted any issues there. All glass arrived on time well packed and with no breakages.

    It’s a company I wouldn’t hesitate to use again and I’d definitely recommend it to others who need quality glass cut to size.
